Car Club of Andalucia Dinner and Run
Last Tuesday we headed back to the El Chaparral Golf Club for the monthly meeting. We met some hashers we kn0w which was nice. We sat at a table comprising mainly Dutch and including the one who owns the other (older) Alfa. We had a good night and now feel part of the club.
On Saturday which was a gorgeous day we again met at the Sol y Sombra and there was a good tun out of cars, incluidng a couple of E types and many Mercs. We set off back towards Coin and passed through Alhaurin town centre, then to Cartama Estacion and then stopped for coffee and tapas at Carratraca. Next we worked our way across to El Burgo and thence the scenic route to Ronda before heading back down the main San Pedro road. We stopped at the Halcon del Pardo for a late lunch inj blazing sunshine. It was here that we first noticed that we had both become rather tanned = burned. Along the way I had to grab my bonnet quickly to avoid it flying off and in so doing I managed to flick the garage remote which was attached to the sun visor and send it flying. It must have ended up on the road as a search of the car failed to find it. After lunch we all went our separate ways and as I turned into the drive we had clocked just over 200km and burned half a tank. I was pretty tired.
